In a Nutshell

These first months of 2012 have been great. We've had an extremely mild winter here. It's only snowed about three times, and hasn't been too cold. We also survived our first round of tornado weather, which was great considering our house flood happened exactly a year prior to our first tornado weather day.

Kurtis has been keeping busy. He's on peds this month and it's been crazy. He also keeps busy with his calling in the singles branch and recently was selected by his directors to be the 2nd chief resident for the rest of the year (he replaced his co-worker who just had a baby.) Elisabeth is just getting cuter and more fun everyday. She loves to "talk" and climb all over everything. She's our little monkey. I've been growing like a weed and baby #2 is already measuring big. But so far I've only been asked if I'm having twins twice...ha.

Here's a few pics from the last couple of months...

January 2012

Learning to brush teeth. She prefers just to eat the toothpaste off.

She puts my hats on. Love that messy face.

One of her favorite places to hang out after she empties out the place mats and all her kitchen gadgets...in the bottom drawer in the kitchen.

February 2012

Loves her shopping cart. Especially when her dad takes her for rides in it.

Loves the laundry baskets. She'll usually crawl in there on laundry day.

Loves to climb on the dishwasher door and dances on it sometimes. What a good strong dishwasher...just makes me wonder what our renters 3 kids are doing to our house... ha ha.

The YSA Video Music Awards Gala.
Grandpa and Grandma Wirihana. They claim her as their own. As they've been traveling around our stake speaking, Elder Wirihana keeps telling everyone in the stake that Heavenly Father knew that the YSA would be busy and stressed with school, so He sent them a blessing...baby Elisabeth. He said she makes them so happy and everyone in the branch loves her and needs her. How sweet is that?

Elisabeth's best friends are all in their mid 20s. She LOVES these girls. Here's Sarah ("Rarah")

And Amy ("AH-my") and Morgan ("Mi-Mi" or Mama, the other day Morgan was at our house and Kurtis said, "Take this to mom..." and she took the towel to Morgan...hmmm.)

Kurtis and I were the MCs again this year. Kurtis "repelled" into the room as we entered the room to the Mission Impossible theme. It was awesome!

This picture truly captures Elisabeth right now. She constantly goes to the fridge and says "Need, need, need..." while holding onto the door handle. Then she'll say, "Ohhhh!" when you open the door. She likes to find a snack - yogurt, applesauce, cheese, waffles - and sit on the ledge of the fridge and eat.

March 2012
All time favorite place to hang out. Our closet. She'll sit on those buckets forever.

Turning into a mother hen. She's decided to start feeding us.

Flying a kite with dad.

Flying a kite. She did pretty good. Only let go of the string and it went flying once. She just loves to be outside.

Her 17-month pictures...

Seriously--are you SURE you're not having twins?? I think it's pretty amazing that you have that big of a belly but the rest of you still looks Camee-perfect thin! This baby is sure to be the chubby-cuteness of its sister! So excited! I can't believe we're going to have you back soon and see some of these adventures first hand!
