Welcome to our blog. I'm new at this, but we thought this would be a great way to keep everyone posted on what we're up to. We recently moved to Indiana for Kurtis to train in the Family Medicine Residency program here. We wanted to stay in Ogden, but it looks like the Lord had other plans for us... really there's no other explanation. We drove three days and over 1,500 miles to get here, with the help of my sweet parents, in a big yellow moving van and my little car. We are all settled in and Kurtis has begun his work at the hospital. He was nervous his first day. He says it's a little daunting to have M.D. behind his name, and not have all the answers. He'll do great, and is here to learn.
We attend a ward here that has between 95-120 members attend on Sundays. There are three families in the residency and two other couples in the ward that are from Utah. Kurtis was just called as the Membership Clerk, and I am the Primary Pianist (they haven't had one for a year) and will begin teaching early-morning Seminary to the Juniors and Seniors when school starts again in the fall. I am also working from home, still doing marketing for the credit union.
So far we are enjoying ourselves here. Everything is nice and green (without sprinklers in the lawn). We have a lot of bunnies and squirrels running around our yard and we love watching the fireflies at night.
