Ball Memorial Hospital is a three-year Family Medicine Residency training program. There are currently 24 residents in the program, 8 for each year. There are also six directors, who are impressively dedicated to the training of these young physicians. The residents rotate the area they are working in on the first of every month. For example, last month Kurtis was working in OB, this month he's working in the ICU and next month he'll be doing Community Medicine. It's neat to see the growth Kurtis has in these various areas of training. He's grown so much in just a few months. He's definitely more confident in himself, and you should hear him dictating his notes...he's pretty impressive.
The residents work at Ball Memorial Hospital, at various clinics in the area, and have their own Family Practice Clinic (it's just to the south of the hospital) that's where Kurtis has his little "office" cubicle. Kurtis has his own patients that he is the Primary Care Physician for (most of whom he inherited from last year's 3rd year residents) which he sees at the clinic and whom he's responsible for if they have a surprise visit to the hospital.
The hospital has posted bios of the directors and the residents on it's website. Click here to meet them.

Kurtis is by far the best looking and has the best spouse of anyone there. Thanks for sharing. It ss very interesting to be able to put faces to some of the people that you have mentioned.
That was a fun post. I like getting glimpses into your life there but am REALLY looking foward to seeing you in a few weeks. Lucie's been saying she really wants her uncle Kurtis to change her diaper (Ella does too) so try to schedule some time for that.
