Winter Part II

Mother Nature is at it again here in the Midwest. The news has been reporting another "big" snowstorm for Indiana. Check out the map above from the National Weather Service... we're right in the middle of the Pepto Bismol pink! "Winter Storm Warning."

Here's the warning:

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST WEDNESDAY...

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 7 TO 9 INCHES ARE EXPECTED.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TONIGHT.

* IMPACTS...ROADS WILL BECOME SLICK FOR THE TUESDAY MORNING COMMUTE. STRONG WINDS WILL CREATE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW

TRAVEL TODAY...AND WEDNESDAY MORNING WILL BE HAZARDOUS.

SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL BE A CONCERN TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY WITH WIND GUSTS AROUND 30 MPH POSSIBLE.

We didn't cancel Seminary this morning, although we should have. (All of my students' schools were canceled or delayed.) I was sliding all over the road and almost got stuck a few times, but now I am safely tucked away at home, with no plans to venture out. Poor Kurtis had to go to work this morning (with his crappy little car...)

Keep wondering if we should have stocked up on toilet paper and bottled water. Oh well, it's probably easier to walk to Wal-Mart from here than to attempt the crazy, snowy Muncie roads.

The sun will come out tomorrow...(by the way Kaitlin and Brock laugh their heads off when I sing that song and say "bet your bottom dollar"

Happy Valentines!
