Here's an example of it raining the other day...
Kurtis is working tonight, but he sent me a message to watch the weather due to a tornado watch in another part of the state. All tornado watches have been called off for now, but there's a lot of severe thunderstorm warnings. Since we don't get the local news on our TV, the National Weather Service website has become my new best friend. It always lets us know how the weather is looking. Two Sundays ago we had the tornado sirens go off three times. A tornado touched down just right outside of the city of Muncie. It did some damage to power lines, and was in fields, pretty crazy. We heard a pop in our power line just minutes before our sirens went off. 'Tis Tornado Season here in the Midwest.
So like I said, Indiana really knows how to rain. Right now our street is completely full of water. It's reached our mailbox and is creeping up the driveway, 1/3 of the way up now. I had to take some pics to show Kurtis... he always misses the good stuff :)
(Maybe I should really learn the camera settings...)
I've warned Kurtis not to drive down our street when he gets off at 11. His car rides so low to the ground it would fill right up. We estimated that the water was 2 feet deep in the street.
